Simchowitz Gallery is pleased to present Pasadena Meditation, a new series of charcoal works on paper by South African artist Cameron Platter, created during his Los Angeles residency from October - November 2024.
Inspired by his time spent in California and Las Vegas, Platter’s latest works explore themes of indulgence, decay, and the surreal contrasts of the American West. Bold and introspective, the series reflects his distinctive blend of pop culture, satire, and the absurd.
The exhibition will be on view at Simchowitz Gallery from November 24, 2024 - March 31, 2025.
